A Conversation with Sam K Horton - Friday 17th October 2025 @ 7pm

£6.00

Sam K Horton is a Cornwall-based author. Trained as a costume designer working in film, theatre and opera, he moved into visual art, always working with narratives, texts and stories. He began writing short stories as part of a creative project to create a fictional island called Eythin in 2019 and became a novelist by mistake. His first book, Gorse, is a story of magic and murder in an imagined 18th Century Cornwall where folklore is real—and deadly.

Gorse is currently available to order in hardback here and is due to be published in paperback on the 11th September, which can be pre-ordered here.

Its sequel, Ragwort, publishes this October in hardback and can be pre-ordered here.

Both Gorse and Ragwort will be available to purchase (signed) on the night!

Tickets for our evening with Sam are limited, and are available now!
